Volunteer Spotlight: Veterans Day

Helping Our Local Veterans with Fall Yard Work

Each month, our Volunteer Committee comes together and searches for opportunities where our employees can lend a helping hand in the community. Some projects are smaller than others, however, every project our volunteers are involved in makes an impact.

This past October, a few of our volunteers offered their time and energy to help local veterans from the American Legion Post 0011, Sullivan Wallen, in Green Bay, WI. The American Legion prides itself on “enhancing the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, our military, and our communities through our devotion to mutual helpfulness.”

Over the course of three days, our team was able to help six local veterans with their yard work. The tasks at hand included raking leaves, edging, trimming plants, removing weeds, spreading mulch, and even removing a large tree! In the end, we had 16 employees volunteer their time, totaling more than 48 hours!

Local Veteran Support

We are proud to have a long history of supporting local veterans, from raising money for programs that focus on emotional support and unique opportunities; to volunteering with household chores and even helping with local Old Glory Honor Flights. Learn more about our Volunteer Program.
