In September 2023, LaForce proudly launched its first-ever Employee Resource Group (ERG), marking a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that aim to create a supportive environment aligned with the organization’s values. These groups are typically formed by employees who share common characteristics, such as gender, ethnicity, or interests, and are dedicated to personal and professional development.
The Women in Construction ERG at LaForce is a shining example of this initiative. Our mission is to build an empowering and inclusive work environment that supports and encourages employees to advance their education and leadership potential through connection, mentorship, training, and discussion. We are thrilled to welcome all employees to join this group, as champions(supporters) play a crucial role in supporting their colleagues and fostering a culture of inclusion.
Goals and Activities
The goals of the Women in Construction ERG are clear:

- Understanding and encouraging career progression and the conversations that surround. this topic. Understanding what opportunities are out there and what the internal transfer process looks like.
- Advocating for yourself and others.
- Goal setting and preparing for the year ahead.
- Wellness, movement, and sharing healthy, on-the-go recipes.
Our meetings are designed to be engaging and impactful. Each session focuses on a different main topic, explored through a variety of activities, including:

- Informative Videos: Educational content that provides insights into industry trends and best practices.
- Guest Speakers: Industry experts who share their experiences and offer valuable advice.
