We were excited to once again hold our annual Community Campaign this year. The Community Campaign is a week-long fundraiser held in our offices to raise funds and awareness for local non-profits. With the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we thought it was especially important to support veteran’s charities this year, which is why we selected 4th H.O.O.A.H Wisconsin and Homes For Our Troops to be the recipients of our campaign. Through games, lunches, donations, and more, we were able to raise a total of $34,386 for these very deserving charities!
Green Bay, WI
Our Green Bay office supported 4th H.O.O.A.H Wisconsin for this year’s campaign. 4th H.O.O.A.H seeks to raise awareness of veteran issues and provide support to the entire military community: active-duty soldiers, returning veterans, service members with disabilities, and military families.
Friday, August 13
Friday’s festivities gave employees a preview of the week’s activities. They were invited to check out all the potential prizes, make donation pledges, and purchase event tickets and game starter packs. This year employees played a week-long game of PoKeNo where they had to collect game boards and playing cards to get bingo and compete for the highest card!
Monday, August 16
We officially kicked off campaign week on Monday with Bay Area Burger and Taste of Ethiopia food trucks! Employees were able to get outside, enjoy some delicious food, and meet Force from Bark N’ Blue, who was purchased using the proceeds from our 2019 Community Campaign. They were also able to learn more about 4th H.O.O.A.H and the Got Your Six K9 program with a special visit from Frago, a PTSD service dog.
Tuesday, August 17
Tuesday’s events started bright and early with a pancakes and porkies breakfast for our Green Bay 52 Club catered by Renard’s. Employees join the 52 Club by pledging to donate $52 or more to 4th H.O.O.A.H. In the afternoon we had our Grab Bag event; employees paid $1 to purchase mystery bags filled with anything from candy, coupons, treats, toys, PoKeNo playing cards, and more! One lucky employee chose the grab bag with the grand prize: a bucket of cheeseballs!
Wednesday, August 18
On Wednesday, our employees showed off their talents by bringing in their homemade baked goods and craft items for our Craft & Bake Sale. We loved seeing all the impressive creations our employees came up with! Our employees also got to try out 4th H.O.O.A.H‘s Veterans Yoga program, stretching out their muscles and practicing mindfulness.
Thursday, August 19
We wrapped up our 2021 Community Campaign on Thursday with a finale lunch catered by Renard’s. Representatives from 4th H.O.O.A.H also attended to learn about the events of the past week, hear the total amount raised, and tell us about some upcoming programs and events. We also announced all our prize winners for the week! It was an exciting end to a fun-filled campaign.
Green Bay wasn’t the only office getting in on all the fun; keep reading to hear about all the activities happening at the other LaForce offices!
LaForce Offices
This year our offices worked together to support Homes For Our Troops (HFOT). Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 veterans, restoring their independence and enabling them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
Our teams across the country competed in PoKeNo and guessing games to help raise money for HFOT. They also held finale lunches to celebrate the end of the campaign and wrap up a week of fun! Employees also participated by joining the 52 Club, pledging to donate money throughout the year to HFOT. Many of our teams went the extra mile to raise money for Homes For Our Troops, including 52 Club breakfasts, bean bag tournaments, chili cook offs, prize drawings, and more!
We want to extend a big thank you to all of our generous sponsors and our amazing employees who made the 2021 Community Campaign such a success. LaForce values giving back to our local communities any way we can and having fun together, which is what makes the Community Campaign so special to us.
