2019 Community Campaign

Culture

Every year the LaForce offices hold annual Community Campaigns to raise funds and awareness for local charities through games, raffle prizes, donations, and more. This year we are happy to announce that the offices were able to donate over $40,000 to local charities!

Green Bay, WI

This year, the Green Bay office selected the Bark ‘n Blue Foundation as their 2019 recipient, an organization with the goal to help support and provide funding for police K-9 units in Brown County.

Friday (Sept. 6)

Green Bay’s Community Campaign started with a preview day to give the office a taste of what activities would be coming up for the following week. Employees were invited to check out the various raffle prizes, purchase grab bags, and enjoy cookie dough from The Dough Shoppe. Preview day also included a one-day-only raffle for a Green Bay Packer signed football which went to one lucky winner!

Tuesday (Sept. 10)

Tuesday officially kicked off the campaign with a lunch catered by Margarita’s and a presentation from Bark ‘n Blue Foundation, allowing the office to learn more about the charity. Attendees got to see a demonstration from the Green Bay Police Department K-9 unit, as well as an update from Eye Heart World, the 2018 Community Campaign recipient.

Wednesday (Sept. 11)

On Wednesday, employees brought in treats and enjoyed a bake sale along with coffee donated by the Exchange! With that was the ever-popular “LaForce Monopoly”, a fan favorite for many employees. The goal of the game is to fill up the board with all the properties and redeem those Monopoly properties for prizes. Competition was in the air!

Thursday (Sept. 12)

Early Thursday morning, the Green Bay 52 Club got to enjoy a breakfast catered by Renard’s. The 52 Club is a group of employees who have donated $52 or more through a pledge form to the campaign recipient! Thursday also included the exciting $1 grab bags, which are bags that employees can buy that are filled with anything from a candy, toys, gift cards, and more. The day included a dunk tank, and a visit from the Caribbean Cruiser, a local food truck. Prior to Thursday, 10 lucky employees battled it out to see who would go in the dunk tank through a coin/cash war. Among those who were dunked was LaForce’s President/CEO, Brian Mannering. Additionally, team members could continue to redeem Monopoly properties for prizes and put raffle tickets in the various raffle baskets.

Friday (Sept. 13)

Friday was the exciting finale for the 2019 Community Campaign. The Bark ‘n Blue Foundation and a number of officers from the Green Bay Police Department and their K-9 partners were in attendance to hear about the past week and the total amount raised. Following these introductions, the winners for the raffle baskets, the airfare raffle, and the 50/50 raffle were announced. Raffle baskets included anything from kayaks, concert tickets, an Apple watch, handcrafted outdoor bar and bag toss game, or an electric cooler scooter built by a member of our Electronic Security Systems team.
