John Knier, Corporate Secretary

John started with LaForce in 1996 and he has held various responsibilities and roles with the company including Credit Manager (Green Bay WI Office), Branch Manager (Vernon Hills IL Office) and Vice President.   John currently serves LaForce as Corporate Secretary.  He regularly assists the company with a variety of corporate, real estate and compliance matters. 

Before joining LaForce, John had a distinguished history of education and service. In 1986, he graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. After graduating from West Point, John served as an Officer in the United States Army for five years. He then continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1993 and was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 1994. Following law school, John worked as a private practice attorney until 1996, which is when he joined the LaForce team.

John and his wife, Julie, have three adult children and one grandchild.  Away from work, John enjoys family activities, hiking, native gardening, and sports.
